“Vote with your Wallet” to fund scholarships update: 

As of 05/23/13 we have received $6097 with another $600 pledged, for a total of $6697.  This is still anticipated to increase, so let’s see if we can meet or surpass $7000!  What has been received and/or pledged has come from 41 members or 51% of our active members.  Continued nice work, let’s finish strong!  

To make finding our page easier, we have secured the new url www.RotaryOakHarbor.org which takes us to the same homepage we have been using (just much easier to find/type)

All previous links will continue to work as well.

We also updated the facebook page to match the main domain:

Dear Fellow Oak Harbor Rotarians:

It seems like we had good interest in the Rotary New Generations (youth) programs that Collin Curtis overviewed at our meeting on January 25th.

Of the many ways we might move forward in regards to youth activities here are two ideas:

1.   

Spread the word!  If you know someone who is interested in membership, our newly reformatted application (now a fillable pdf) is found in the downloads section of the website or directly by clicking here.

Celebrate Rotary Awareness Month by training members on Rotary history, programs, or how to raise awareness of your club’s projects among your community. Or, ask members to share a personal story or experience that they have had because of Rotary. Every Rotarian has a Rotary story that can be educational and inspiring. The beginning of a new year is a good opportunity to renew inspiration for the rest of the Rotary year.

Subject: Angelo's fee increase

Yesterday at the board meeting we voted to increase the fees Angelo's
charges for lunch. Lunch as of 1/18/13 will now be $14.00 (old price $13.00)
and drinks and dessert $3.00 (old $.00 for drinks only).
